Secondly, due to the size of nanoparticles being much smaller than the wavelength of electromagnetic waves, compared to general absorbing materials, nano ferrites have a higher transmittance of electromagnetic waves. Advanced Institute of Technology research has found that the maximum reflectivity of ferrite samples with a particle size of 5 μ m is -17dB, while the maximum reflectivity of ferrite samples with a particle size of 65nm is -28.5dB. This indicates that as the particle size decreases, the absorption efficiency of ferrite materials has been significantly improved.
Another category of magnetic particle based absorbing materials is magnetic metal micro powders, including cobalt, nickel, cobalt nickel alloys, iron nickel alloys, aluminum nickel alloys, and various organic modified metal micro powders.
