Copper foil is one of the main materials used in the electronic field today, and the quality of copper foil directly affects the performance of products. According to the classification of production processes, there are mainly two types of copper foil: electrolytic copper foil and rolled copper foil. Before use, copper foil usually needs to be pressed onto a resin substrate to form a copper-clad laminate, which can then be applied to circuit boards. Under conditions of 180 ℃, 1h, 85 ℃, 85% humidity, and 24h, it is prone to oxidation and discoloration. Especially under the testing conditions of 5% NaCl and 35 ℃, the copper foil surface is severely corroded and discolored within 10h, with extremely uneven color and even flower spots, making it unusable for users.

Furthermore, traditional nickel plated copper foil also has problems with insufficient smoothness and high porosity. After being made into circuit boards, high-frequency losses are large, which affects its use in high-frequency circuits.

Finally, traditional copper foils require a significant increase in current density in order to achieve the desired coating thickness in a very short period of time during nickel plating, resulting in severe stress deformation and high-temperature thermal deformation of the copper foil after nickel plating, and even severe discoloration, softening, folding, and burning, leading to the scrapping of the copper foil.

Currently, there is an urgent need for double-sided high corrosion resistant nickel plated rolled copper foil products in certain industries, but due to the high difficulty of developing such products, the technology is not yet mature.

This makes the electroplated product chemically stable in both working and alkaline environments, and not easily discolored. It can only be oxidized at temperatures above 600 ℃; The nickel plating layer has strong adhesion and is not easy to peel off; After nickel plating, the surface hardness is high, which can improve the wear resistance and acid alkali corrosion resistance of the product. The product has excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and rust prevention performance.
Due to the high surface hardness of nickel plated products and the extremely small crystal size of electroplated nickel, they have high polishing properties and can achieve a mirror like surface. They can maintain a smooth finish in the atmosphere for a long time, so they are also commonly used for decoration.
