1、 Choose the appropriate type of soft magnetic ferrite
According to different applications and frequency requirements, we can choose different types of soft magnetic ferrite. Magnetic lead ferrite hexagonal ferrite is commonly used in the ultra-high frequency range, while spinel type Mn Zn ferrite, Ni Zn ferrite, Li Zn ferrite, etc. are commonly used in the audio, mid frequency, and high frequency ranges. These different types of ferrites can meet the needs of different frequency ranges.
2、 The Influence of Key Manufacturing Elements on the Properties of Soft Magnetic Ferrites
The accuracy of raw material purity and ratio is crucial in the production process of soft magnetic ferrite. For example, in the formula composition of Mn Zn ferrite, when the Fe2O3 content is in the range of 53% to 65%, the magnetostriction coefficient of the ferrite is close to zero, indicating good characteristics. Meanwhile, with the increase of ZnO content, the magnetic permeability and magnetic induction intensity will also increase. However, when the ZnO content exceeds 25%, the magnetic permeability will actually decrease. To improve magnetic properties and promote sintering, we can introduce additives into the formula. For example, an appropriate amount of WO3 can help with grain growth and improve magnetic permeability; The addition of CaO, SiO2, CaO, Ba2O3, and CeO2 can increase resistivity and reduce losses; The addition of CaO can lower the sintering temperature and increase the density; Trace amounts of P2O5 can also lower the firing temperature.
3、 Key points for manufacturing Ni Zn soft magnetic ferrite
Controlling the Fe2O3 content and correspondingly increasing the NiO content is key in Ni Zn ferrite. Generally speaking, the higher the frequency requirement, the higher the NiO content needs to be, while the ZnO content needs to be reduced. To reduce sintering temperature and improve magnetic properties, we can introduce trace amounts of additives such as CaO, CuO, CoO, and MnO. For Ni Zn soft magnetic ferrite suitable for high frequencies, the formula range is: Fe2O3 50%~70%、ZnO 5%~40%、NiO 5%~40%。
