Conductive cloth is a fabric made of various materials, which has good conductivity and electromagnetic shielding properties. It is usually made of materials such as conductive fibers, carbon fibers, metal fibers, etc.

Conductive mechanism

1. A thin oxide layer is formed on the surface of a metal due to friction or corrosion, and this oxide film will undergo chemical reactions with surrounding metals under certain temperature conditions. The result of this chemical change is a change in the electrical resistivity of the contact surface (commonly referred to as the coefficient of thermal expansion). When the temperature increases, the volume of the oxide film will increase and cause a decrease in resistivity. On the contrary, when the temperature decreases, the shrinkage of the oxide layer will cause an increase in electrical resistivity. This is commonly known as the phenomenon of thermal expansion and contraction.

Due to the different coefficients of thermal expansion of different metals, the contact surfaces between them will also experience varying degrees of expansion with temperature changes. If the area of these contact surfaces is kept constant, a mutual restraining force will be generated between them. This force is called 'adhesive force'.

The direction of adhesive force depends on the contact area between the two metals. For example, after connecting two aluminum wires with copper wire, due to the smaller coefficient of linear expansion of copper wire compared to aluminum wire, its bonding force mainly manifests at the joint of the wire. For example, if two steel plates are connected together with tin plated bronze wire, the bonding force between the steel plates is mainly manifested at their joint.

According to the above principle, people can manufacture various types of "conductive coils" to control the current in circuits. For example, winding a copper wire of uniform thickness into a spiral shape, and then immersing it in an electrolyte tank, can produce a spiral wire with uniform internal resistance. For example, by cutting a steel wire of the same diameter into several sections of different sizes, each section is wound around a small iron rod with insulation. In this way, by gently bending the small iron rod, a set of coils of the same size but not connected to each other can be obtained, which can be used to adjust the voltage level.
